  • Students who are sitting an exam on the piano or guitar will not need a piano accompanist, for all other instruments you will need a piano accompanist for your exam. One will be assigned to you closer to the exam date by school staff.

  • The Grade 5 theory exam certificate is required for all performance exams grade 6 and above (including grade 6).  If you have not yet passed a grade 5 theory exam but wish to sit the performance exam before sitting your grade 5 theory exam, you may still record your performance exam. The exam can then be submitted once the theory exam has been sat and passed.

  • We recommend being dressed formally, or in school uniform. You must have your original copies of music for the exam. Photocopies are acceptable if the music is from a free domain (Please confirm that your music is suitable for the exam with your teacher).
You will also need your completed exam forms (https://forms.office.com/r/y5H9Q1JNu8).
If you are sitting grade 6 or above, you will need a form of photo ID. We recommend your passport (It is ok if it is expired).

Please ensure you have a means to tune your instrument if it requires tuning.

  • You will need a grade 8 ABRSM performance exam certificate. A copy of this will be needed for proof if asked by the ABRSM.

  • At this time, we cannot help with recording or submitting Trinity exams.
