  • The ideal gateway into music for children of any age.

These voice-based group lessons focus on systematic aural development, beat, rhythm and listening through movement and singing games.

This is by far the smartest, most enjoyable programme that we have found for children to be able to build a complete musical foundation.

Our classes will leave your child inspired and allow them to thrive in all their musical activities.

Small groups of a maximum of ten children from the same age group meet every week (twice a week for pre-schoolers) for a 45-minute class designed to engage and delight.

    What is the Kodály Concept?

The Kodály (pronounced KÓH-dye) concept has been adapted in over 40 nations. Read more >

  • Currently available to join are our String Orchestras and the Chiron Flute Ensemble.

The Junior String Orchestra and Senior String Orchestra consist of violins, violas and cellos. Our senior staff-led rehearsals occur at either CMA or Lewis Eady once a week, on Sundays during the school term. Students will work on a range of repertoire to help build their technical, musical and ensemble skills. Both String Orchestras will have the opportunity to perform as part of CMA’s Concert Series (String Showcase, Winter String Festival) and other events in the community.

We encourage our students to join these orchestras. We also welcome expressions of interest from string students who are not enrolled with CMA.

  • Aimed at boosting confidence whilst gaining valuable performance experience, these weekly classes are suitable for piano students of all ages and levels. Every week, students perform their music to each other and are encouraged to give constructive feedback.

Our teachers guide students on how to listen critically to a piece of music and encourage each other to provide constructive feedback on their performances. Students will better understand the music they are performing and build their music analysis skills.

Each term, our piano faculty will invite, when and where possible, international guest artists and university music lecturers to lead these classes.
