Alice began her piano journey at the age of five and has since remained deeply dedicated to the study and performance of piano. She studied piano at Guangxi Arts University under Professor Yizhi Deng before coming to New Zealand, where she completed a Master of Music with First Class Honours at the University of Auckland. There, she studied under Katherine Austin, Dr. Jonathan Jung, and Associate Professor Allan Badley. Her master’s research explored the stylistic and pedagogical significance of Classical-era keyboard music. During her studies, Alice also received her Orff Certification under Music Education Professor Millie Locke. 

Alice has experience working with students of all ages and levels. Her lessons focus on developing strong piano fundamentals, musical expression, and performance confidence. She is passionate about helping each student achieve their musical goals through patient guidance and a structured yet enjoyable learning process. Lessons are available in English or Chinese. 

Outside of teaching, Alice enjoys playing other instruments such as the ukulele, guzheng, and guitar, and spends her free time on creative hobbies like crocheting and gardening.
