Wei (Alan) Cao is a professional pianist, accompanist, and piano & music theory teacher with extensive experience in New Zealand and China. He is experienced in accompanying and collaborating with instrumentalist and vocalists, with a particular focus on saxophone, violin, flute and vocal repertoire. He works with students and musicians in performances, examinations, competitions, auditions and recital settings. Recent highlights include supporting students in SAPACS, assisting a saxophone student coached in collaboration with Mark Hobson in achieving 48/50 for the ARSM examination, and accompanying a student who received First Prize in Art Song at the Hamilton Vocal Competition.

He is also experienced in ABRSM piano and theory preparation, with recent students achieving Grade 8 Piano with Distinction and successfully completing Grade 5 ABRSM Music Theory.
